This PowerPlanet rechargeable battery pack is specifically designed to work with your JVC camcorder. PowerPlanet rechargeable battery packs feature the latest battery technology, the highest quality components; they are also designed to last longer and have no memory effect.
Due to what some would say is JVC's anti-competitive stance on 3rd party BN-VF8xx series batteries this battery is operated by the use of a small cable which connects the battery to the power socket of the camcorder, powering the camcorder via the AC socket rather than the battery terminals. The battery can be charged using any BN-VF8xx battery charger, or via the AP-V14 power adapter.
Please note: The remaining battery life function is not available on ANY BRAND of compatible BN-VF8xx series battery. There is however an LED which lights when there is 10-20 mins remaining power.
